From what you hear on TV and see on the internet, 'race' is supposed to be a factor in these elections. And when someone talks about race and the elections, it seems that the only races that matter are whites, blacks and hispanics. How come no one talks about the Native Americans?

It's not often that I find myself on the same side as Bill O'Reilly. In fact there are times when I feel even watching FOXNews is like letting bad energy into my home. On the other hand, I enjoy watching The Daily Show. Jon Stewart is one of those rare talk show hosts that is funny and intelligent, without trying hard to appear so. Well, in life there are always exceptions, and that's what happened here - where on the same subject, I found myself somewhat agreeing with O'Reilly and totally put off by Jon Stewart's pathetic performance as an interviewer. The guest in question?

I was inspired to start this page after watching too much TV and reading too many blogs and articles on the internet recently. There's just too much irrelevant stuff that gets thrown about - frankly stuff that in any other modern democracy would be totally ridiculous to bring it into the public.

If there’s anything I’ve learned about American politics over the past decade, it’s this: First, regressives will do anything - and I mean anything - to obtain power (the real purpose of which is to loot the public fisc of all items not securely nailed to the floor). And, second, just about everything they try works when employed against an American public possessed of stunning political immaturity.

I'm sure there will be much talk about the number 4000 today - media outlets vying with one another to sensationalize the tragic milestone of the 4000th US soldier to die in Iraq, as if they truly care, before breaking off to the commercials. Even the PBS evening news, that supposedly doesn't carry commercials during the news, will be preceded and followed by oil company ads. Most people will go 'tsk, tsk', and flip the channel.

As with so many things in life, good intentions alone are not enough. And, right now, there's so much happening in Tibet - and no one knows for sure what exactly, as all communication is highly restricted - in this day and age - that I feel so helpless that all I can do is to write a useless blog entry!
